Head of Technical Due Diligence

As part of its development, Longevity Partners is looking for a Senior Consultant to head the Technical Due-Diligence team globally.

This is a high-profile role; the candidate will report directly to Executive Management. You can choose to be based in our offices in Paris, Munich or London, with remote working. 

Job Role

Our Transaction Services department is growing and looking for an intrapreneurial profile to head our new Technical Due Diligence service line. Working alongside our sustainability due diligence team, you will assist our real estate clients in their investment projects, exits, and impact strategies. 

Working closely with the Global Lead for Transaction Services, you will actively develop the Technical Due Diligence service line. You will provide strategic insight, build a team and setup all necessary management processes to run your unit. You will be given the relevant accountability to execute your vision and shape your unit. This is a role for someone looking to be part of the company growth and passionate about the impact we deliver for our clients, and eager to take senior responsibilities on a global scale (Europe, US and APAC).

You will also join the team that offers the widest range of real estate ESG services on the market (ESG strategy, green building design, climate risk, sustainable finance etc..), with a sustained growth and a strong ambition for development.

Intrapreneurship and Management

  • ​Build and manage a team of 4 to 6 consultants (team planning, quality control, achievement of profitability objectives, etc.) in both Technical and Sustainable Due Diligence
  • ​Manage the personal development of team members (training, participation in recruitment, etc.)
  • ​Develop processes and tools for your team
  • ​Work closely with the Country Director, Head of Business Development and other senior members to grow the business and foster innovation 
  • ​Conduct market studies and liaise with multidisciplinary teams to lead the constant development of the team’s knowledge and working tools.
  • ​Being able to challenge, provide insights, forecast future trends, and articulate the value of sustainability to businesses, with an understanding of future value creation.
  • ​Creation of thought leadership pieces for communication, to enhance client offerings, and ensure the team remain at the forefront of emerging thinking. 
  • ​Developing client relationship with a range of listed investors and corporate client base. 



​Conduct and perform quality control on Technical Due Diligences (TDDs), Property Condition Assessment Reports (PCAs), Sustainability Due Diligences (SDDs) and Environmental Due Diligences (EDDs). 

This involves technical audits, carbon assessments, governance and social risks screening in order to flag salient risks and opportunities for real estate acquisitions on behalf of our clients across Europe. You are expected to build ESG & impact roadmap (trajectory, KPIs, objectives) for your clients and offer advice on impact strategies.

The successful individual will have the following experience:

  • Master’s degree, in Sustainability, Real Estate and Finance or Engineering.
  • 5 to 10 years in Technical Due Diligence in a transactional environment for property, M&A, energy or Infrastructure.
  • Analytical skills to developing a consistent and scalable approach to ESG data collection, validation, and reporting.
  • Working in a rigorous manner to deliver accurate, high quality, engaging and client-ready outputs.
  • Proven project management experience and excellent communication skills
  • Experience liaising with, engaging and presenting to senior business leaders
  • Experience in strategy planning, building business cases, and demonstrating the value of sustainability and the business imperative for tackling climate change
  • Passionate about tackling climate change and about the wider sustainability agenda
  • Fluent English (mandatory)

    The following will be appreciated:

  • Thought leadership in ESG/Sustainable Finance in Property, M&A, Energy or Infrastructure Sectors.
  • Experience in leading on business development activities including client presentations and preparation of large global bids.
  • Experience in delivering carbon reduction or energy efficiency programmes
  • Experience in Property Valuation (RICS)
  • Experience in Green Building Certification (BREEAM, LEED, WELL)
  • Experience in a wide range of sustainability reporting and assessment mechanisms such as- CDP, GRESB, CRREM, GRI, PRI, IFC and Equator Principals.
  • Knowledge of European legislation background in building performance
  • Second language
