Where We Started
Ten years ago, I founded Longevity Partners with a clear mission: to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient future by providing real asset investors with innovative, data-driven solutions. From the outset, I have envisioned Longevity as a catalyst for action, not just conversation. That vision has guided us every step of the way.
A decade ago, sustainability was often considered a ‘nice-to-have’ rather than a business imperative. Today, the narrative has shifted significantly, . as climate regulations and market expectations evolve, sustainability has become central to decision-making for investors, developers, occupiers, and society at large. We’ve been proud to witness and contribute to this transformation.
In our first ten years, Longevity Partners has:
Ranked amongst the fastest growing businesses in Europe, doubling in size annually for eight consecutive years;
- Delivered end-to-end sustainability services across combined real asset portfolios over $ 1 trillion;
- Created long-term value for over 140 global clients;
- Grown from a one-person venture to a global team of 130+ experts;
- Helped the industry redefine what it means to be a future-proof, sustainable business; and
- Remained proudly independent.
Where We Are Now
The industry has matured profoundly over the last ten years, yet there is still substantial ground to cover.
Some organisations are still grappling with fundamental challenges, such as poor data management, when these should really be a problem of the past. I often say that organisations need to learn how to walk before they can run a marathon, and having a robust data management program is the equivalent of that first essential step. Without it, progress is simply not scalable.
Our clients increasingly recognise the measurable value of sustainability and see that it can help achieve reduced borrowing costs, higher rents, operational efficiencies, cap rate compression, higher liquidity, stickier income and increased tenant satisfaction. Even after Brexit, a global pandemic, political changes, and a real estate crisis, I would say that our biggest win over the last ten years has been the industry’s evolving understanding of the strategic value of sustainability.
Looking ahead, success hinges on risk management, operational excellence and technology integration, all delivered by tech-enabled consultants.
What Comes Next
As we embark on the next chapter, our core values remain the same: excellence, integrity and impact. Our commitment is to continue delivering a stellar service to our clients at a fair price.
As such, we are investing in technology that empowers both our clients and our people to amplify results and scale their sustainability journeys.
In May this year, we released our 2025 Annual Sustainability Report. It is a transparent account of our progress in 2024 and a foundation for future growth.
The next decade will be defined by digital transformation and real-world implementation of sustainability programmes. That’s why we’re excited to soon launch a fleet of groundbreaking platforms that will significantly enhance our clients’ experience and impact – these will cover regulatory risk management, GRESB reporting and BiU certification.
Our strength lies in our people and in our global, independent positioning. The goal is not to become a software company, but to harness the power of AI to enhance our expert-led services and deliver consistently exceptional outcomes across borders.
The next ten years will be crucial in confronting the climate crisis. I am incredibly proud and optimistic about our ability to support resilient, future-ready cities through innovation, expertise and unwavering partnership.
We could not have achieved this without the extraordinary support of all clients, partners and teams. As I’ve often said: the more you support us, the more we can support you in return, and that is truer now more than ever, as we unveil the tools and solutions that will shape our next decade.
With deep gratitude,
Etienne Cadestin
