Project Details

Since 2019, Longevity Partners has supported a leading European retail property owner in implementing a large-scale BREEAM In-Use certification programme as part of its corporate sustainability strategy.

The portfolio comprises more than 70 shopping centres across 10 countries, positioning the client at the forefront of sustainable retail asset management. Longevity Partners pioneered the adoption of the BREEAM Volume Approach — a first-of-its-kind framework enabling efficient, harmonised certification at scale in close collaboration with BREEAM Official.

Through this methodology, 100% certification was achieved across the portfolio, with continuous improvement in ratings despite the heightened requirements of Version 6.

Longevity Partners also delivered asset-level optimisation reports to guide local teams in further improving environmental performance, with leading sites targeting “Excellent/Excellent” scores for Parts 1 and 2.

This partnership demonstrates how an integrated certification strategy can streamline processes, enhance portfolio resilience, and deliver measurable ESG impact across international real estate holdings.
