Portfolio-Wide Climate Risk Assessment in Japan

Highlights

โ€ข Climate risk screening across 21 assets in Japanโ€ข Assessment of physical, transition, social, and financial implications

Project Details

Longevity Partners conducted a comprehensive climate risk assessment for a multi-asset portfolio in Japan. The project evaluated both physical and transition exposures, analysing how climate-related hazards, policy shifts, and market dynamics could affect long-term asset performance. In addition to technical risk analysis, the work considered the broader social and financial implications of climate impacts, integrating double materiality principles into the assessment. The outcomes provided a detailed understanding of portfolio vulnerabilities, enabling prioritisation of resilience measures and strategic alignment with global disclosure frameworks such as TCFD. This proactive, data-driven approach equipped the client with a clear roadmap to enhance asset resilience, safeguard value, and strengthen long-term sustainability performance.
