Tamar joined Longevity Partners in 2022 as the External Senior Advisor to the global management board. She is a partner at Bain & Company and has been with the firm since 1999. Tamar is currently the managing partner of the firm’s Boston office, overseeing all local firm activity.

Currently she is the managing partner of the firm’s Boston office, overseeing all local firm activity. She is also a member of the firm’s Board of Directors and the chair of the Risk Committee.
More than a decade ago, Tamar founded Bain’s Brand Positioning & Strategy group and has long served as a leading member of our Private Equity, Retail and Customer Strategy & Marketing practices.
In addition to brand strategy, Tamar has led hundreds of diligence efforts, focusing on Retail and Consumer Products and typically evaluating brand strength, strategy and resilience. She previously led our PE retail investing in the Americas.
She has also led multiple engagements supporting corporate retail clients through transformative Mergers and Acquisitions, from diligence to integration and synergy capture.
Beyond transactions, Tamar’s corporate retail work has been underpinned by the generation of new-to-world customer insights and their profitable application in brand strategy, product and category management, pricing and merchandising. Her core clients have spanned grocery, club, drug and mass retail, as well as the restaurant and apparel sectors.
Tamar graduated with master’s and bachelor’s degrees, magna cum laude, from Northwestern University. While there, she was named a Weinberg and James Alton James Scholar. She serves on the Boston Preparatory Charter School Foundation board and the board of Cradles to Crayons.
She lives in Boston with her husband Dan and two sons, Felix and Gideon.
